Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third son, 2 months-old Prince Louis, was christened on Monday, July 9. The ceremony was rather private; it was held at St James's Palace.
Here are some things you might not know about Prince Louis’s baptism:
1. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were nowhere to be found during the service. Even weirder: they weren’t even on the official guest list! Don’t worry though, this plan was pre-arranged by the Royal Family due to the Queen’s extremely busy schedule.
2. Prince Louis’s christening gown looks familiar, doesn’t it? It’s only because it’s the same gown that was worn by Princess Charlotte and Prince George before him. This gown is a replica of Queen Victoria’s robe dating 1841.
3. Prince Harry is the best uncle ever. He gave his nephew a $10,000 first edition of A.A. Milne’s Winnie The Pooh… If only we had someone like him when we were kids!
4. Prince Louis’s mother was wearing a beautiful white dress by Alexander McQueen while his aunt Meghan Markle chose a green Ralph Lauren dress.
