An unforgettable speech indeed.

Racism is a topic we encounter every day, and today it's the actor Jesse Williams who's recognized for his commitment against this plague. Williams who played Jackson Avery in the series Grey's Anatomy, has indeed delivered a memorable speech on Sunday to promote racial equality.

“There has been no war that we have not fought and died on the front lines of. There is no job we haven’t done, there is no tax they haven’t levied against us, and we have paid all of them. But freedom is always conditional here. ‘You’re free!’ they keep telling us. ‘But she would be alive if she hadn’t acted so… free.’ He said to the cheering public.

Following his touching words, the Hollywood star received the BET Humanitarian Award 2016. Williams has been opening up about his thoughts about racism since the death of Michael Brown in 2014, an 18 year old unarmed African-American who was shot and killed by a white police officer. The world famous actor is also part of the Black Lives Matter movement created as a result of the numerous black murders.
