Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney was in New York to attend the United Nations Security Council meeting at the UN Headquarters. She talked on behalf of the victims of sexual violence next to Iraqi activist Nadia Murad. Murad, who is a victim of human trafficking and who was sold, along many other Yazidi women as slaves by ISIS.
For the gathering, George Clooney’s wife wore a perfectly sized dark 1958 William Vintage Balenciaga fleece dress, with wooden buttons down the front. She finished her look with round shades, jewel studs, a dark tote bag, and beige calfskin heels.
Not long ago, Clooney was delegated by UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, to fill in as the Special Envoy on Media Freedom and Co-Chair of the High Level Panel of Legal Experts. Taking on her new job, Clooney will head a board of legitimate specialists who will check laws that shield writers from playing out their obligations and guarantee media opportunity.
