Is the Ellen Show Ending?

Stand-up comedy or TV show?

Even if it came off-guard, we cannot get over the fact that Ellen DeGeneres considers putting and end to her popular daytime talk show. Apparently, this idea has been crossing her mind a while now and it seems like it might come true.

The most popular comedian has been offered a renewed contract for her show which she signed, but with cold feet. It seems that DeGeneres will continue to air the show until summer 2020 as she hesitated to sign the contract. The world is wondering what will happen post that date.

Her family members are divided between the two options: her brother supports the show and wants Ellen to proceed in making people laugh and dance on that show because for him, in the age of Trump, the world needs her positive energy on a daily basis. However, her wife, Portia De Rossi, has an opposite view. "I just think she's such a brilliant actress and standup" her wife explained, she added that her creativity and ways to make people laugh can go beyond this talk show. “There are other things she could tackle.” It seems that DeGeneres has a new deal with Netflix for her own stand-up comedy show which is something she has not done for a long time due to her show.

The world cannot help but wonder what would it be like without her show? It has been running for 15 years, gathering 50 daytime Emmy nominations and 39 wins. The world is used to her pranks and her funny ideas. We cannot find a similar comedian as generous as Ellen to give money, prices, gifts, and laughs to the audience.
