Kate Spade Suicide: a Series of Odd Events
Fashion designer and founder of the Kate Spade New York brand, Kate Spade, committed suicide by hanging herself on June 5 2018. She was found by her housekeeper at her luxury department in New York. The 55 year-old handbag creator had suffered from manic depression for years but refused to ask for professional help.
But other rumours say that she supposedly did this because her husband asked her for a divorce and moved out of the apartment. And what’s even more disturbing is the suicide note she had left for her 13-year-old daughter. It said, “Bea - I have always loved you. This is not your fault. Ask Daddy!” Her last words to her sister Reta were also significantly concerning, "One of the last things she said to me was, 'Reta, I know you hate funerals and don't attend them, but for me would you PLEASE come to MINE, at least. Please!' I know she perhaps had a plan, but she insisted she did not."
Spade was also very obsessed with Robin Williams’s suicide, according to Reta. She used to watch the coverage of his death regularly. “We were freaked out/saddened,” she wrote in an email to the Kansas City Star. “But she kept watching it and watching it over and over. I think the plan was already in motion even as far back as then.”
