Latest Updates on Chester Bennington’s Death
Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington was found hanged on Thursday July 20 in a private residence in Palo Verdes Estates in Los Angeles. Authorities are treating his death as an apparent suicide.
Chester chose to take his own life yesterday night, on the birthday of one of his closest friends, Chris Cornell, who died two months ago. The death of the former Soundgarden front man really shook the 41 year old Linkin Park singer. He wrote a letter to Cornell on his Instagram account to wish him peace in ‘the next life’, and sang Halleluiah in his funeral.
Bennington’s early life was rather tragic. He was molested when he was only 7, which lead him to a long battle with drug and alcohol addiction. When he became sober, he joined the alternative rock band and then married his now widowed wife Talinda Bentley with whom he had three children: Tyler Lee, Lila and Lily. The singer also has three other children from a previous marriage.
Rest in peace Chester Bennington, we will never forget you.
