Director Nadine Labaki returns to the silver screen soon, this time as an actor through the lens of director Walid Mounes in his new film 1982.

Set in Beirut in the early 1980s at a school, the film tells the story of a child trying to reveal his love to his classmate, but he was killed by an Israeli shot during the Israeli invasion of Beirut. Nadine plays the role of an angry and struggling teacher Yasmine during this difficult period for Lebanon.

Labaki had caught the eye of the whole world with her film Capernaum, which was nominated at the Oscars, BAFTA and Amy Ouardards and was awarded the jury prize at Cannes. She also received the acclaim of the most important international figures such as Oprah Winfrey and Salma Hayek!
