Prince Harry Playing King George III For a Day
You must know by now that Prince Harry founded an NGO that fights against HIV in Lesotho and Botswan. Well, what you didn’t know is that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex prepared a performance of the famous play ‘Hamilton’ to support Harry’s charity, Sentebale. By the way, did you notice that one of Harry’s own ancestors is a supporting character of this play? As you can imagine, Prince Harry couldn’t resist to play King George III, his great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather.
Just as the show ended, Harry joined Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast, and began to sing the signature line from King George III’s musical interludes at the top of his lungs! The prince then cracked a joke about Miranda wanting him to play this character, “He did try, but I said no”.
All jokes aside, this (very) entertaining event raised a lot of money for Sentebale, and according to the prince, they raised “a huge amount of money”. Harry then closed the show by thanking the actors for such a great performance. "I don't know how you guys do it every night, over and over again […] that was spectacular."
