Queen’s Birthday Honors 2018: a Lebanese Awarded?
Just like every year, Queen Elizabeth honored a few people on her birthday this week. Celebrities as well as public figures living in the UK were honored in the annual Queen's Birthday Honors list.
In healthcare, a surgeon of Lebanese origins, Nadine Hachach-Haram, was awarded a BEM for services to surgery and innovation. She co-founded a company that gives virtual access to surgery for people in remote areas. We’re so proud that a Lebanese woman was recognized by the Queen herself!
Nicolas El Sehnaoui tweeted, “Join me saying MABROUK to the Lebanese Nadine Hachach-Haram for being awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honors for her work in the global innovation of surgery!” Mabrouk, indeed.
